Youths go on rampage after being caught cheating in exam

Students of a college here attacked teachers and went on a rampage damaging state buses after they were allegedly caught cheating during an examination.

Fatehpur (UP), March 28: Students of a college here attacked teachers and went on a rampage damaging state buses after they were allegedly caught cheating during an examination.
"A case had been lodged against 50 students on a
complaint filed by college principal Vishnu Kumar Gupta and
seven on them had been arrested," Deputy Superintendent of
Police N P Singh said.

The incident occured when members of flying squad led
by P Richard booked the students at Mahatma Gandhi Degree
College for using unfair means, police said.

Irked with the action, the students attacked the
members of the flying squad, injuring two teachers.

Later, the students vandalised the college, blocked GT
road and indulged in brick batting in which some buses were
damaged, police said.

Police used batons to disperse the students.
