LS polls: Five candidates file nominations in Nashik region

Five candidates have filed their nominations from the Nashik revenue division on the second day of filing nominations for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections, official sources said on Monday.

nominations from the Nashik revenue division on the second day
of filing nominations for the second phase of Lok Sabha
elections, official sources said on Monday.

Vijay Sakharam Raite (Hindustan Janata Party) and Ramdas
Kisan Datir (independent) will contest elections from the
Nashik parliamentary constituency, while two others - Kisan
Eknath Hake (Rashtriya Samaj Party) and Mahindra Dadasaheb
Shinde (ind) - filed nominations from the Ahmednagar Lok Sabha
constituency.

One independent candidate - Raghunath Jagnnath Pusadkar -
will contest elections from the Shirdi (SC) parliamentary
seat, they said.

As many as 25 constituencies from Northern Maharashtra,
Marathwada, Nashik division and Western Maharashtra will go to
polls on April 23 in the second phase of general elections.
