New Delhi, March 30: With NSA being invoked on BJP leader Varun Gandhi, Congress on Monday said those who do divisive politics to get votes should have the courage to face the law if they break it.
"Those who break law to get votes.... Do divisive
politics with open eyes.... They should have courage to face
the law if they break it," party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi
told reporters here.

Asked whether invoking NSA was correct in the young
leader`s case, he said law and order was the exclusive domain
of the state government.

He said the state government can take steps it deems fit
for maintaining law and order.

Singhvi said the NSA specifies the reasons under which it
can be invoked.

"If the state government is of the opinion that there is
a threat to public order, it can be used.... Can there be more
threat to public order?" Singhvi said.
