PATNA: The Patna zoo administration has reportedly decided to make available the entry ticket for the Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park online.
As per a report, the authorities have tied up with the State Bank of India for the purpose.
A software has also been developed in this regard and its security audit was currently in process.
However, the report adds that ticket on the New Year Day will not be made available online.
On an average, at least 10,000 people visit the zoo every day.
During weekends, the number of visitors subsequently goes up.
The zoo charges Rs 30 per adult and Rs 10 per child for allowing entry to its premises. For students in groups of at least 25, the entry fee is Rs 5.
After the online booking facilities get rolled up by the Patna zoo, the visitors will have to pay Rs 10 more for every booking made on the zoo's website as a convenience fee.
In this case, the price will not be slashed even if the booking is made in bulk.
The zoo's lake offers boating facility with pedal boats available for visitors on payment of charges.
