New Delhi: Bollywood actress Ileana D'Cruz has had a fairly decent year with 'Baadshaho' doing great business and her track 'Rashke Qamar' from the same film winning hearts.
The latest buzz about the actress is that she has reportedly been roped in to play the female lead in Shahid Kapoor's next. According to Mumbai Mirror, the producer of Shree Narayan Singh's 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu', Prerna Arora is planning to cast Ileana in the film for playing a pivotal part.
The report quotes Prerna as saying, “We have only spoken to Ileana so far. It is a strong role of a lawyer with intense scenes and we are casting now”.
The film's teaser was released some time back and it is scheduled to hit the screens next year.
Shahid and Ileana have previously worked in Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Phata Poster Nikhla Hero' in 2013.
