New Delhi: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus, Padmavati has been in news ever since it was announced. The story revolves around the life of Queen Padmavati and the movie has been in a myriad of controversies as protestors feel that historical facts might have been tampered with in the film.
The movie's trailer and two songs- Ghoomar and Ek Dil Ek Jaan- have left us awe-struck. The grandeur of the sets, the epic depiction of royalty and of course, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor's look in the film.
Deepika essays the role of Queen Padmavati and has been paired opposite Shahid Kapoor in the film who plays the role of Rawal Ratan Singh.
Ranveer Singh will play the intimidating character of Alauddin Khilji .

The movie is slated to release on December 1. The fans were ecstatic to find out that Padmavati would also be releasing in 3D!
