Mumbai: ‘Raabta’ producers – Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan - have issued a statement to respond to copyright violation allegation levelled by the makers of Telugu movie ‘Magadheera’ directed by SS Rajamouli in 2009.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the statement on behalf of the producers, which denies charges of copyright violation.

Take a look at it here:

Earlier on Thursday, producer Allu Arvind issued a statement to announce that Geetha Arts, the original makers of the film ‘Magadheera’ have approached the Hyderabad court seeking injunction against ‘Raabta’ release. They “felt through various sources including the trailer and publicity material” that the Hindi film is being remade violating the copyrights.

‘Magadheera’, starring Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal was based on the concept of reincarnation. It revolved around the lives of a couple and their love story spanning over different periods.

Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Raabta’ too has the idea of reincarnation intertwined in the plot. The film is slated to release on June 9.
