Shah Rukh Khan's Zero and Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar's 2.0 to clash this week

New Delhi: It's the clash of the titans! The trailer of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Zero' and Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer '2.0' are going to be released this week. While 'Zero' trailer will be out on November 2nd, '2.0' trailer will be unveiled on November 3rd. With just gap of few hours, it is being touted that this will be the biggest clash this year.

In the past, we have seen several big films facing a clash on the Box Office.

'Zero' was initially titled Katrina Meri Jaan. However, this was later scrapped because the producers thought the title would be too misleading to people and make them presume the film is about Kaif. In between productions, the film underwent through numerous working titles such as 'Bauaa', 'Bauna', 'Butka', 'Bandhua' and 'Batla'. Red Chillies Entertainment registered three names for use as the film's title. In the end, a unanimous decision was made to call the film 'Zero'. Shah Rukh will be seen as a dwarf in the film, which is slated to hit screens on December 21.

'2.0' is a science-fiction film directed by Shankar Shanmugham. It features Rajinikanth reprising roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, alongside Akshay Kumar. It is the sequel to the 2010 release 'Enthiran' which had Rajinikanth playing the titular roles. While the first part had Aishwarya Rai playing the lead role, 2.0 will have Amy Jackson playing the leading lady. With an estimated budget of Rs 543 crore, it is the most expensive Indian film made to date. It is expected to be released in theatres on November 29, 2018.

Earlier, it was reported that '2.0' will release on Republic Day and will reportedly compete with Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30' and Kangana Ranaut's 'Manikarnika: Queen Of Jhansi'.
