New Delhi: General Motors India will launch Chevrolet Enjoy, the Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) on May 9, as per media reports.
It will be one of Chevrolet India's three products borrowed from China's GM-SAIC joint venture.
Chevrolet Enjoy, originally called the Wuling Enjoy MPV, will be up against the likes of Mahindra Xylo and Tata Winger. The car will be powered by a 1.3-litre multi-jet engine from FIAT and will also feature 175/65 R14 tyres, made for the Indian roads.
The Price of the car is expected between Rs 6.75 lakh and Rs 9 lakh.
Sastry Vempati, vice president, product planning, General Motors India, told reporters that Sail Sedan, the first launch of the year and the MPV would meet the needs of domestic market and establish the company as a key competitor.
