Delhi Auto Expo 2016 open to public from today

New Delhi: After two days of press previews (From 3 to 4 February) the 13th edition of the Delhi Auto Expo that kicked off at the India Expo Mart (IEM) in Greater Noida has been thrown open to the public from Friday.

The Auto extravaganza runs till February 9.

Auto Expo is being held at Greater Noida for the second successive time as its original home Pragati Maidan proved inadequate to host the show, which has grown over the years.

51 new products made their debut on day 1 of the expo, with Bollywood celebrities, including Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor, along with sportstars Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli adding to the glamour quotient.

An estimated 7 lakh visitors are expected during the expo. The show, jointly organised by SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers), ACMA (Automotive Components Manufacturers Association) and the Confederation of Indian Industry, will take place at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. SIAM President Vinod K Dasari had said that the expo this time would focus on electric and hybrid vehicles with a theme of mobility for all.
