New Delhi: Ford Motor may introduce the iconic Mustang car in India by this year, according to various media reports. A report suggests that Ford’s global CEO Mark Fields has confirmed the entry of the Mustang car to some dealers during the Sanand plant inauguration.
It is also being said that the car will be unveiled around Diwali this year.
Globally, Mustang is available with three options -- a 2.3 litre 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine producing 306 bhp, a 3.7 litre V6 pushing 296 bhp and a 5.0 litre V8 dishing out 429 bhp max power.
It is being expected that in India only the coupe version with 2.3 litre EcoBoost engine will be launched. The new Ford Mustang made its public debut at the Detroit motor show in 2014.
