New Delhi: Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today reported 8.56 percent increase in total sales at 3,40,791 units in April.
The company had sold 3,13,894 units in the corresponding month last year, HMSI said in a statement.
HMSI's motorcycle sales, however, declined marginally to 1,31,291 units last month from 1,31,377 units last year.
The company's scooter sales jumped by 15.95 percent to 1,97,801 units from 1,70,589 units in April 2014, it added.
Exports declined by 1.91 percent to 11,699 units against 11,928 units in the same month a year ago, it said.
