Tata Motors' global sales rise 9% in March

Tata Motors Wednesday reported a growth rate of 9 per cent in global sales, including Jaguar Land Rover's, at 1,03,952 units in March.

New Delhi: Tata Motors Wednesday reported a growth rate of 9 per cent in global sales, including Jaguar Land Rover's, at 1,03,952 units in March.

The company had sold 95,668 units in the same month last year.

In the passenger vehicles category, global sales last month stood at 65,466 units, up 16 per cent. It had sold 56,420 units in March 2014, the company said in a statement.

Sales of luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover rose by 16 per cent to 50,093 units during the month as compared to 43,311 units during the same month a year ago.

Sales of commercial vehicles declined by 2 per cent in March to 38,486 units from 39,248 units a year ago.

Cumulative sales of the company for 2014-15 fiscal stood at 9,81,920 units, down 3 per cent from 10,09,776 units in 2013-14.
