Tata Motors sales down 14.85% in May

New Delhi: Tata Motors on Wednesday reported 14.85 percent decline in total vehicle sales at 51,160 units in April 2013.

The company had sold 60,086 units in the same month last year, Tata Motors said in a statement.

The total passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market stood at 11,570 units in April, down 48.94 percent from 22,658 units in the same month last year.

In the commercial vehicles segment, the company's sales grew by 3.97 percent to 36,025 units in the domestic market during the month under review compared to 34,647 units in the corresponding period last year.

The company's exports grew by 28.19 percent to 3,565 units last month from 2,781 units in the same month last year, it added.
