Tata Motors to launch 'Bolt' in India on January 20

The company has already open booking for the hatchback with payment charge of Rs 11,000 only.

New Delhi: Tata Motors is likely to launch its much aticipated hatchback Bolt in India on January 20, 2015 if reports are to be true.

The company has already open booking for the hatchback with payment charge of Rs 11,000 only.

Unveiled at the Auto Expo 2014 along with Zest, it was highly expected that it would hit the markets this year itself. However, a month after Tata Zest was launch in August, it was revealed that Bolt would be launched in early part of 2015.

Now reports have suggested that the Tata Bolt will be launched in the Indian market on January 20, 2015 with a possible price tag ranging between Rs 4.2 lakh to Rs 6.60 lakh.

The Zest is priced between Rs 4.64 lakhs to Rs 6.99 lakhs.

Like the Zest, Bolt is expected to take on Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Hyundai Xcent in the market.

The Bolt is expected to be available in six variants with two engine options. However, only the petrol version is expected to be available at the launch.
