Rolls-Royce launches 'Ghost series' in Kerala

Rolls-Royce rolled out its new Ghost avatar named Ghost Series-II, an ultra-luxurious four-seater.

Kochi: Rolls-Royce rolled out its new Ghost avatar named Ghost Series-II, an ultra-luxurious four-seater, in Kerala.

"Anybody who has got money is our target audience," K Venkatesh, CEO, Rolls Royce Motor Cars, said after the launch of the car.

Hitesh Naik, General Manager, Rolls Royce Motor Cars, said: "For Kerala roads, especially ground clearance is something we look at. It got very good ground clearance..."

"We have a lot of cars running in Kerala, without any issues, because the ground clearance is really good," Naik said when asked whether the rough and hilly terrains of the state is suitable for the car.

This is the fourth launch of the series in the country. The Ghost Series-II was earlier launched in Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi.

"We can't expect Kerala customers to all the way to come Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi and see the car. We bring the car to your place, you experience it," Naik said.

The Ghost, powered by a 6.6-litre V-12 engine, produces 563 horsepower and 780 nm og torque. This powerhouse takes only 4.9 seconds for a dash from 0 to 100 km per hour.
