Gold regained its sheen on festive demand and climbed by Rs 590 to Rs 27,550 per ten grams at Delhi bullion market Friday.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold for delivery in October contracts, however, eased by Rs 24, or 0.09 percent, to Rs 26,911 per 10 grams.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in far-month December shed Rs 21, or 0.08 percent, to Rs 27,051 per 10 grams.
Globally, gold rose 0.40 percent, to USD 1,226.90 an ounce in Singapore.
