New Delhi: For the third time, 40,000 units of Xiaomi Redmi 1S has been sold off in less than 5 seconds. During its third flash sale on Tuesday, it was sold off in just 3.4 seconds, the Chinese mobile company claims.
Since its open-for-sale on September 2, Xiaomi has sold 120,000 units of Redmi 1S in less than 12 seconds; perhaps a record sale for any smartphone in that time period.
During its first flash sale on September 2, Xiaomi reportedly sold off 40,000 units of Redmi 1S. Considering over 2 lakh registered for the sale, there is no doubting that over a lakh were left disappointed.
On September 9, the day of the second flash sale, another 40,000 Xiaomi smartphones were said to have been sold off. Over 3 lakh registered for the phone, reports said.
The fourth round of flash sale is on September 23 and registeration for the same had begun.
