New Delhi: Amazon Kindle Voyage e-reader has been launched in India at Rs 16,499. It was was unveiled in September last year.
The buyers can choose from two variants of the e-reader, the Wi-Fi model that is available for Rs 16499 and the other variant featuring WiFi and 3G support costs Rs 20,499.
Kindle Voyage will only be available for purchase on Amazon. It features 300ppi display. The thickness measures only 7.6mm, making it the company's slimmest e-reader so far. The screen on the Kindle Voyage has been provided with a layer of micro-etched glass that has been crafted with an aim of eliminating glare.
The surface has been built in way that touching it gives you the feeling of touching paper, bringing you closer to the allusion of reading an actual book. It comes with 4GB of in-built storage which is enough to hold more than a thousand e-books at a time. The battery inside the Kindle Voyage gets fully charged in around 3 hours.
