Aiming to regain its erstwhile position in the smartphone space, Canadian firm BlackBerry last month launched its latest smartphone 'Classic' in the Indian market

The device, launched globally last month, has been priced at Rs 31,990 in the country. The device will be sold through eCommerce major Snapdeal and BlackBerry Exclusive Stores.

We got a hands on review of the BlackBerry Classic. Here's what we think about the phone.

Pros

The phone is built solidly.

It has got a terrific physical keyboard specially built to meet the needs of productive people thriving on speed and accuracy that can be found with a physical QWERTY keyboard.

It has a handy set of productivity apps installed. The phone has got two app stores: BlackBerry World and Amazon's Android Appstore.

Cons

The hardware specs are dated given that this is a recently-launched phone. It has a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of device storage (expandable by up to 128GB), and a 2MP front, 8MP rear -facing camera with enhanced optics and upgraded imaging sensors.

The BlackBerry Classic has a 3.5-inch touchscreen display. The screen resolution and aspect is not ideal for viewing videos.

It has a few hits and misses on the app store
