New Delhi: Homegrown online marketplace FlipKart on Thursday launched Digiflip Pro XT 712 seven-inch tablet with a metal body.
The tablet has been priced at Rs 9,999 while the company offers Rs 5,000 shopping offer for those using the Flipkart apps on tablet.
The Flipkart Digiflip Pro XT 712 tablet us 9.2 mm thick and weighs just 285 grams. It is 10 percent thinner than others in the class.
The Bangalore-based firm, sells its own brand of electronic and computer accessories like headphones, speakers and pen drives under the DigiFlip range.
The move is expected to help FlipKart, which follows the mix of marketplace and inventory-led model (with resellers putting up their wares for sale on the website) to boost its margins in the highly competitive electronics retailing space.
FlipKart's tablet launch is also expected to help the e-commerce firm connect faster with its consumers.
