Gionee Pioneer P2S launched in India at Rs 6,499

Gionee Pioneer P2S is priced at Rs 6,499, which is sure to give its rival Motorola's Moto E a tough competition.

New Delhi: Gionee, the Chinese phone maker on Wednesday launched it new smartphone- Gionee Pioneer P2S in India.

Gionee Pioneer P2S is priced at Rs 6,499, which is sure to give its rival Motorola's Moto E a tough competition.

Gionee Pioneer P2S sports a 4 inches screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz Dual Core processor, 512 RAM, in-built 4GB memory expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card and has 1600 mAh battery. The smartphone backs Dual Sim and runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS.

Pioneer P2S comes with a 5MP primary camera and secondary VGA camera.

Gionee has also started playing colours, Pioneer P2S comes in five colour variants- black, white, blue, red and yellow.

The new smartphone maker has so far launched 16 mobile handset models, both smartphones and feature phones, in the Indian market.

Moto E has an upper hand on Gionee Pioneer P2S, as it runs on the latest Androis 4.2 KitKat OS and Gionee runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

While the grey Operating System is a negative point of Gionee Pioneer P2S, it should be noted that it houses a secondary camera and also the primary camera is supported with flash, which is missing in Motorola's Moto E.

In addition Gionee Pioneer P2S is 9.3 mm in thickness and weighs only 124 grams in weight against the Moto E which is 12.3 mm in thickness and weighs 142 grams in weight.
