HTC Desire Eye selfie smartphone available for Rs 35,990

HTC Desire Eye is a selfie-focused smartphone that boasts of a front-facing camera with the same treatment as the rear camera. Both feature 13MP sensors, and are both accompanied by dual-LED flash.

New Delhi: The much awaited and anticipated HTC Desire Eye selfie smartphone has been launched in India and is available for purchase at a price of Rs 35,990.

When the HTC Desire Eye was first unveiled in India, no details on its price were provided by HTC and moreover, the company had also said that the smartphone will be sold exclusively via Amazon.

This has not happened as yet, and the HTC India website still lists it as 'Coming soon'.
But it seems something has forced the company to alter its plans completely which explains the offline release.

The smartphone also features an IPX7 rating, designed to resist immersion in water up to 1 metre for 30 minutes.The HTC Desire Eye sports a 5.2-inch full-HD LCD display; Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor; 2GB of RAM; 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB), and a 2400mAh Li-Po battery.

The smartphone also has front-facing stereo speakers powered by HTC BoomSound technology are also onboard the handset. It measures in at 151.7x73.8x8.5mm.
