New Delhi: Imagine a device that could turn your TV into a full-fledged regular computer. That would be more than just a piece of cake.
iBall Splendo, a device showcased by Intel at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year in Las Vegas, does that exactly.
iBall Spendo is a finger-sized gadget that can plug into a television and convert your TV into a regular computer. It is packed with all of the processing, memory, networking and peripheral interfaces that one finds in a regular computer.
The dongle-like device is powered by an Intel Atom processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt Flash memory. It runs on Windows 8.1 and comes with a wireless deskset comprising a keyboard and mouse
Some of the salient features include Intel HD graphics, multi-channel digital audio, a microSD slot, a USB port, Micro USB port, Wi-Fi and in-built Bluetooth 4.0
The iBall Spendo will be available in the market by early July and has been priced at Rs 8,999.
