New Delhi: The next Jolla Tablet batch is open for pre-orders now, the company website has said.
This is the follow up to Jolla's smartphone late last year, which wasn't as massively popular as Xiaomi or OnePlus, but did find a strong niche following. Most important is that it runs the fully gesture-based OS Sailfish.
Here are some specs of the tablet.
•Uses Sailfish 2.0. The tablet has no hard or soft buttons on it, aside from Power and volume. Everything else is controlled by swiping and tapping-operated menus. It takes a day or so to learn it and then is very natural to use.
•Fully rootable, meaning you can customise it as you see fit.
•Runs apps native to the OS, that you can download from Jolla store, as well as Android apps. (not all run perfectly but your major ones like whatsapp and facebook do).
•Preorders open through their website, , which will begin delivery end of October.
•The tablet comes with two memory options 32GB and 64GB, and the pre-order prices are 239$ and 269$ respectively. Prices will vary by country.
•Early Indiegogo contributors will receive their deliveries starting earlyy September.
