New Delhi: Domestic handset maker Lava has launched its new budget smartphone Iris X8 at Rs 8,999, the smartphone will be exclusively available on online retailer Flipkart.
The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 5 inch HD (720x1280pixels) display and runs on 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box operating system which can be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop. It packs a 2500mAh battery.
Powered by 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek processor, the smartphone has 2GB RAM, and comes with 16GB of internal storage. The users can also install microSD card of up to 32GB for more storage.
Iris X8 comes with an Intelligent Flip cover that allows users to access applications such as music, calling, camera, messaging and a few other functions directly without the need of using the screen.
Connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a micro-USB slot and it weighs 160 grams. Lava Iris X8 comes in black and white colours.
