Lenovo a5000 with 4000mAh battery launched at Rs 9,999

Lenovo has finally launched the a5000 smartphone in India and is available on the company's website for Rs 9,999.

New Delhi: Lenovo has finally launched the a5000 smartphone in India and is available on the company's website for Rs 9,999.

The main highlight of the Lenovo a5000 is the 4000mAh battery which is said to give up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 792 hours of standby time on 3G networks. However, it does not support 4G LTE.

The smartphone was launched last week in Russia and it was expected that it was launched in India at the same time too. However, the officially launched in India happened this week, though very quietly.

The Lenovo A5000 is a dual SIM (Micro and regular) and comes with a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display that offers a pixel density of 300ppi. It is is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and Mali T760-MP2 GPU.

It reportedly runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with an internal memory of 8GB which is expandable upto 32GB via a microSD card.

On the camera point, it sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash while there is a 2MP fixed-focus front-facing camera.
