Lenovo A5000 with 4,000mAh reportedly launched in India

According to reports, the Lenovo A5000 with a magnificient 4,000mAh battery which was launched Thursday in Russia has also been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 10,250.

New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Lenovo has reportedly launch a new smartphone, A5000 in India, adding strength to its ever growing budget phone segment.

According to reports, the Lenovo A5000 with a magnificient 4,000mAh battery which was launched Thursday in Russia has also been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 10,250.

The Lenovo A5000 is a dual SIM (Micro and regular) and comes with a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display that offers a pixel density of 300ppi. It is is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and Mali T760-MP2 GPU.

It reportedly runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with an internal memory of 8GB which is expandable upto 32GB via a microSD card.

On the camera point, it sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash while there is a 2MP fixed-focus front-facing camera.

However, the biggest talking point of the Lenovo A5000 is the might 4,000mAh battery which is said to deliver a talktime of 17 hours and up to 792 hours of standby time on 3G networks.

As for connectivity, apart from 3G, the A5000 offers GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth connectivity options. However, it has been hinted that the smartphone might not support 4G LTE.
