Lumia 730, Lumia 830 up for grabs in India

Lumia 730 and Lumia 830 hit the markets Wednesday and have been competitively priced at at Rs 15,299 and Rs 28,799 respectively.

New Delhi: Microsoft's latest offerings of Lumia series phones, the Lumia 730 and Lumia 830 are finally in Indian market for grabs.

Unveiled at the IFA 2014 earlier this year, Microsoft launched three Lumia series phones, viz, Lumia 730, Lumia 830 and Lumia 930, in India on October 1.

Out of the three, Lumia 730 and Lumia 830 hit the markets Wednesday and have been competitively priced at at Rs 15,299 and Rs 28,799 respectively.

Lumia 930 will hit the markets from October 15 and have been priced at Rs 38,649.

The Lumia 730, known as the 'Selfie Phone' comes with a 4.7-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) screen display with a pixel density of 316ppi. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor.

It also has a 1GB of RAM and an 8GB internal memory that is expandable via microSD card to 128GB. It features a 2220mAh battery which the company claims gives up to 22 hours of 2G talk time and 17 hours of 3G talk time.

On the other hand, the Lumia 830 features a 5-inch HD ClearBlack IPS LCD display with a 720x1280 pixels resolution that offers a pixel density of 296ppi.

It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB of RAM. The phone has an internal memory of 16GB that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It features a 2200mAh battery that gives up to 14 hours of talktime on 3G and up to 22 days of standby.

Interestingly, the two Lumia series smartphones come with 1TB of storage via OneDrive for 6 months. However, users have have to pay a subcription fee of Rs 100 per month for the storage once the 6 months are completed.
