Mozilla launches Intex Cloud FX smartphone at Rs 1,999

Washington: Mozilla has launched an entry level smartphone running Firefox operating system. The phone--Intex Cloud FX is available on online shopping portal Snadpdeal.com at Rs 1999.

Mozilla said that the Cloud FX retails at 2490 rupees but it is currently available at a discount of 20 percent at Snapdeal.

Indian smartphone maker Intex Technologies has designed and built the smartphone. The dual-SIM phone has a memory of up to 4GB, Bluetooth and wi-fi.

The handset also supports several languages including Hindi and Tamil.

The smartphone was introduced for the first time on the ZTE Open in Spain last year and since then, the device has been launched in 15 other countries across Europe, Latin America, and South America.

Last week Spice Retail Limited launched Firefox OS powered smartphone, Fire One Mi – FX 1. The phone has been affordably priced at Rs,2,299.

This Firefox OS smartphone is the first device powered completely by Web technologies. The 2G Dual sim enabled Spice Fire One is powered by a 1 GHz processor, 2.5 G connectivity, 8.89 cm HVGA capacitive touch screen and 1.3 MP primary camera + 0.3 MP front camera.
