Samsung Galaxy Tab S: Five Key Features

New Delhi: Samsung just unveiled its flagship Galaxy tab series - Tab S. It indeed is a clear cut competitor to the Apple's Ipad Air.

Samsung’s new high-end tablet line up that aims to amaze the consumers with its Super AMOLED display which is the key feature of this tablet.

The company’s chief executive, JK Shin, claimed, “It will provide consumers with a visual and entertainment experience that brings colors to life, beautifully packaged in a sleek and ultra-portable mobile device.”

Key Features:

The Tab S models—which come in screen sizes of 10.5 and 8.4 inches have a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with high- definition display and sharp screen. On physical front, the build of the tab is thin and has light profile.

Depending on region, the tablet comes in quad-core and octo-core versions.

There’s 3GB RAM, a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB capacity cards, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and options for 16GB and 32GB of built-in storage. Just like Galaxy S5, the Tab S has a fingerprint scanner that'll remember prints for up to eight different users.

It has an 8.1MP sensor with an LED flash on the back, and a 2.1MP front-facing camera.

The battery has a 7,900mAh capacity that can go upto full 11 hours of 1080p video playback along with a Bluetooth 4.0 and an IR-blaster.

It has an addtional feature called SideSync 3.0 which has the ability to take calls from your phone on your tablet using Wi-Fi Direct.

Both the tab models come in white and bronze colour and the company is offering optional covers as well as a keyboard.

In the US, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S will cost $499 for the 10.5-inch version, and $399 for the 8.4-inch. As for now, there is no official information when the tablet will be launched in the Indian shores, but the tablet is worth waiting for.
