Washington: South Korean electronic manufacturer Samsung is reportedly planning to launch Galaxy Tab S, with high-resolution display and fingerprint sensor.

The leaked images of the slate have appeared online, fueling speculations about its early launch. Galaxy Tab S slates will apparently be powered by an Exynos 5 SoC octa-core CPU, 3GB LPDDR3e RAM and 2,560 x 1,600 WQXGA display. The fingerprint sensor will be embedded inside the tablet's home button.

Samsung will upsize the Super AMOLED technology it's been putting in smartphones for years, which should lead to deeper blacks and increased color saturation.

The tablet running Android 4.4.2 KitKat will have 8-megapixel rear and 2.1-megapixel front camera.

Galaxy Tab S will include features such as unlocking your device, making payments with PayPal and setting up a private folder.
