New Delhi: South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics has launched the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 in India.

The Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 have been priced at Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively. Both the smartphones will be available from July 24 while the pre-booking for the same have already started on e-commerce site Flipkart.

Here's looking at five interesting features of the smartphones.

Display

The Samsung Galaxy J5 features a 5-inch TFT display with a HD screen resolution of 1280x720 pixels while the Samsung Galaxy J7 has a 5.5-inch HD Amoled display with screen resolution of 1280x720 pixels.

Processor

The Samsung Galaxy J5 has 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB memory expandable up to 128GB using microSD card while the Samsung Galaxy J7 has 16GB inbuilt storage, Snapdragon 615 octa core processor clubbed with 1.5 GB RAM. Both the phones run Android 5.1 operating system.

4G LTE

Both the smartphones are 4G LTE enabled. The company says that the phones accelerates data speed up to 150 Mbps and offers seamless connectivity, it’s designed to power multi-player gaming like never before.

Camera

Both the phones have a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 5-megapixel front camera. The company says that the phone's camera will enable you to take balanced low-light shots with an F1.9 Aperture and front flash.

Battery/dimension/variants

The Galaxy J5 has a 2600 mAh Battery while the Galaxy J7 boasts of a 3000 mAh battery.
The Galaxy J5 is 7.9mm in thickness whereas the Galaxy J7 is 7.5mm. Both the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 come with anti-smudge anodized CMF coating. The phones will be available in Black, White, and Gold colours.
