Samsung unveils dual-SIM versions of Galaxy Y and Galaxy Y Pro

The Galaxy duo, with internal storage capacity of 2GB, can be expanded up to 32GB.

New Delhi: Cellphone makers Samsung Electronics on Friday unveiled its Galaxy Y Pro Duos alongside the Samsung Galaxy Y Duos. The two smartphones have the ‘Duos’ title indicating their dual SIM capabilities.

The Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and Pro Duos are scheduled for launch in Russia by the beginning of January 2012.

The latest Galaxy duo runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

It has an internal storage capacity of 2GB, which can be expanded up to 32GB through the microSD card slot.

The smartphones are equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connectivity options and can support Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0.

The Samsung Galaxy Y Duos is equipped with a 3.1-inch QVGA 240 x 320p TFT LCD touchscreen and sports a 3MP snapper. Users of the Pro Duos would be able to execute tasks through its 2.6-inch LQVGA TFT LCD display and capture photos or videos via the integrated 3MP rear facing camera and the front facing VGA snapper.
