Just a year after after unveiling the first ever 128GB microSD card, SanDisk has unveiled a 200GB microSD card at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona.
Priced at USD 399, the 200GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card, Premium Edition, is the world's highest capacity microSD card for mobile and can store up to 20 hours of HD video.
According to the company, the new device has a memory read speed of 90MB/sec and being a Class 10, it stipulates a speed of 10MB/sec or better.
The company believes that with the demand for higher storage capacity devices, this 200GB microSD card could be a success.
However, with most of the smartphones in the market accepting upto 128GB as storage capacity via microSD card, only time will tell if the new SanDisk 200GB microSD card would be a success.
