Sony announces new SmartWatch3

The new watch is more sleek as compared to its predecessor, the SmartWatch 2. It has a 1.6-inch display with a 320x320 resolution and a LCD transreflective screen.

New Delhi: Sony has announced its new Smartwatch 3 which will run on Google's Android Wear. It can't be touted as a fitness device but avid runners will enjoy flaunting this gear.

The new watch is more sleek as compared to its predecessor, the SmartWatch 2. It has a 1.6-inch display with a 320x320 resolution and a LCD transreflective screen.

SmartWatch 3 sports a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and 420mAh battery. It also comes with IP68 waterproof and dustproof certification.

The gadget will cost approximately 299.99 euros, the price for US market hasn't been decided yet.

The SmartWatch 3 is loaded with sensors, accelerometer, compass and gyroscope. It also has a built-in GPS. It will maintain a square design.

The watch also works with Sony's LifeLog App which tracks your daily activity and presents it in a digital timeline. It will be available in black and lime colour. Other colour options will follow after few months.
