New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi on Thursday launched its budget smartphone – Redmi 2 in the Indian market at a price tag of Rs 6,999. This 4G-capable smartphone was originally launched in January this year.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 will be available through its first flash sale on March 24, and customers can register for it on Flipkart starting 6pm today. Redmi 2 will be available in White and Grey colour variants, with the former available initially.
The smartphone features a 4.7-inch (1280x720) IPS display, 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear camera, and a 2MP front camera. The dual-SIM Redmi 2 has an internal storage space of 8GB (expandable up to 32GB).
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, USB Host, USB OTG, FM Radio, a 2200 mAh battery. It also features MEMs microphones for better voice calling quality.
