Xiaomi Mi 4i to be launched in India today

The event will be attended by the company's CEO and founder, Lei Jun and president and global vice president Hugo Barra.

New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi seems to have very aggressive plans to place its product on the top slot of the smartphone market.

The phone maker is all set to launch a new product in India on Thursday. Xiaomi has already sent out the media invitation for the launch of its product at the 'Global Mi Phone Premiere' event New Delhi today which will be attended by the company's CEO and founder, Lei Jun and president and global vice president Hugo Barra.

The company has built a lot of anticipation around the phone leading to media speculations that Xiaomi might launch the Mi 4i today.

In a series of tweets Xiaomi has written, “i IS COMING. Register for our global Mi phone premiere in New Delhi on 23 April.”

Meanwhile, Hugo Barra had earlier tweeted, "T minus 3 days for Xiaomi's biggest global launch yet, live from New Delhi, India!".
