Xiaomi Mi3 sells 20,000 units in seconds; next round on Aug 19

With today's 20,000 units, Xiaomi through Flipkart has sold 55,000 Mi 3 smartphones till date in India.

New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi on Tuesday sold 20,000 units of its Mi3 smartphone in its fourth flash sale. Xiaomi offered 20,000 handsets for sale this time which were sold in seconds yet again.

The round four of the flash sale saw a frenzy response on e-retailer Flipkart. For today's sale 1,50,000 people were registered with Flipkart in order to buy the smartphone, though only 20,000 handsets were up for sale.

The customers were left disappointed as they could not purchase the phoneand faced problem while placing the order. Flipkart website said that registrations for the phone will restart today at 6 pm with sales on August 19.

With today's 20,000 units, Xiaomi through Flipkart has sold 55,000 Mi 3 smartphones till date in India.

Xiaomi Mi3 features a 5.0-inch full HD display and is powered by a 2.3GHz snapdragon processor and 2GB RAM. It runs on highly customised Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

The price of Mi3 is mere Rs 13,999 which is giving other high-end smartphones a tough competition.
