Xiaomi sells 40,000 Redmi Note 4Gs in just 6 seconds

New Delhi: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has done it again and this time it is their latest entry into the market - Redmi Note 4G.

The 4G Note which was put up for its first flash sale Tuesday on Flipkart sold 40,000 units in just about 6 seconds.

Priced at Rs 9,999 only, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with MIUI v5 skin on top.

The Redmi Note 4G is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU combined with 2GB of RAM.

Other features of the Note include a 5.5-inch 720x1280-pixel IPS LCD display, a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, a 5MP front-facing camera, 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded upto 64GB via a microSD card. The smartphone is also supported by a 3,100mAh battery.

Next round of sale is on January 6, 2015 for which registrations have begun Tuesday, 06:00 p.m. onwards.

The 3G version of the Redmi Note is available for Rs 8,999 on Flipkart too. It however runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
