New Delhi: For the second time in a week, 40,000 units of Xiami Redmi 1S were sold off in less than 5 seconds on e-commerce retail site Flipkart.
During its second flash sale Tuesday, 40,000 units of Redmi 1S were sold off in just 4.5 seconds. However, this is just about 3 seconds slower than its first flash sale that took place on September 2 when Xiaomi sold 40,000 units within 4.2 seconds.
Flipkart is the official and exclusive online retailer for Xiaomi handsets in India. The online retailer claimed that over 3 lakh had registered for the second round of flash sale.
Reportedly, over 1 lakh had registered for the first round of flash sale.
This also means that thousands of customers and Xiaomi fans have been left unhappy.
The phone is priced at Rs 5,999. The smartphone has a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Cortex-A7 core and Adreno 305 image processor. It also has an 8GB flash memory.
The phone has a 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 with 312 ppi. It has an 8MP primary camera and a 1.6MP front camera.
