Alstom T&D India standalone Q3 Net drops 86%

Alstom T&D Ltd has reported an 86.37 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 2.58 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.

New Delhi: Alstom T&D Ltd has reported an 86.37 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 2.58 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.

The company's net profit in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal stood at Rs 18.93 crore, Alstom T & D Ltd said in a filing to the BSE.

Total income from operations during the quarter came down to Rs 766.09 crore, from over Rs 848.32 crore in the corresponding period of FY14, the company said.

Alstom T&D India Managing Director Rathin Basu said that though there are positive sentiments in the industry, market continues to be challenging.

The company also delivered on project execution front with the successful commissioning of Rajasthan's first 765 kv substation at Anta, he said.

During the third quarter, Alstom won orders from firms including Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd and NTPC.
