New Delhi: A Special Court on Wednesday granted bail to directors of Jharkhand Ispat Pvt Ltd, R S Rungta and R C Rungta in coal blocks allocation scam case.
Earlier, the court had summoned them as accused in a coal blocks allocation scam case which took cognizance of the CBI's charge sheet against them.
Besides the Rungtas, Special CBI Judge Bharat Parashar also summoned two private persons, Ramabatar Kedia and Naresh Mahto, and the company as accused in the case pertaining to allocation of North Dhadu coal block in Jharkhand to Jharkhand Ispat Pvt Ltd (JIPL).
The court summoned them as accused for January 14 for the alleged offences punishable under sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy) read with 420 (cheating), 467 (forgery of valuable security), 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating), 471 (using a forged document as genuine) and 477-A (falsification of accounts) of the IPC.
