To meet skilled manpower requirement in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, the government is committed to create industry responsive manpower by giving thrust on employable skills and vocational training.

Varanasi: To meet skilled manpower requirement in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, the government is committed to create industry responsive manpower by giving thrust on employable skills and vocational training.

Various field establishments under the ministry are regularly conducting skill development training programmes, through which nearly more than 6 lakhs youth have been imparted training during the previous year, MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra said while inaugurating the 'MSME-Samsung Technical School' here Friday.
"I hope that this joint initiative of Ministry of MSME and Samsung would be able to train approximately ten thousand youth every year and they would also have the opportunity to find placement in various appliances manufacturing organisations including Samsung," he said.

"After getting training, I believe that many of the youths can also establish their own enterprises and service centres for repairing and maintenance of electrical and electronics goods," he said.

Samsung India Vice President Deepak Bhardwaj said, the government efforts of 'Make in India' to make the country a global manufacturing hub is getting a boost where more foreign companies are showing their interest to invest.

MSME Joint development commissioner Ramesh Kumar Pandey was also present at the inaugural function.
