Competition Comm seeks candidates for 34 positions

New Delhi: The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is looking to fill up as many as 34 vacancies, with majority of openings at the level of directors.

CCI has sought applications for the post of two directors, 13 joint directors and 12 deputy directors.

Under the support staff, there are two vacancies each for deputy director, office manager and private secretary. There is also one vacant post for joint director.

Candidates have been sought for seven posts of joint directors (economics), four of joint directors (law) and five positions of deputy directors (financial analysis), among others.

"The appointment will be made on deputation on foreign service basis initially for a period of one year," according to a recent office memorandum.

The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation basis will not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications, the memorandum said.

Employees of central or state governments, public sector companies, among others, are eligible to apply.

The fair trade regulator, which keeps a tab on anti- competitive practices at the market place, is also working on capacity building activities mainly to improve investigation skills of the officers who are into enforcing the competition norms.
