Indore: Two wheeler major Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Ltd (HMSI) is planning to sell six lakh units in central India including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand in FY15.
"In the current financial year, we have set a target of selling six lakh two-wheelers in the central India region against last year's sale of 5.20 lakh in the same segment," HMSI Deputy General Manager Sales P Rajagopi told PTI on Friday .
The DGM arrived here to launch company's new vehicle 'Activa 125' in region.
HMSI's central India region includes states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand, he said.
Rajagopi said that an economic improvement in rural areas will help the company in enhancing its sales in these states by 25 percent.
"For expanding the network, the company would set up 250 sales and service centres in the region," he added.
