New Delhi: IDBI Trusteeship Services Limited has acquired 6.44 percent shares of Adani Power after it invoked pledges on 18.49 crore shares of the company on June 17.
IDBI Trusteeship Services Limited is a security trustee holding the pledge as security for various banks for their loans sanctioned to Adani Power, the company said in a BSE filing.
As many as 18.49 crore shares are pledged in favour of IDBI Trusteeship Services Limited, pursuant to approval of the lenders and the High Court order for demerger on May 17, 2015, Adani Power said in the statement.
The statement revealed that the IDBI Trusteeship acquired 18.49 crore shares on June 17.
As per the statement, Adani Power has a total of 287.19 crore equity shares of Rs 10 each.
