Kwality Ltd Q2 net up by 22% at Rs 36.57 crore

Dairy firm Kwality Ltd has reported 22 percent increase in its net profit at Rs 36.57 crore for the second quarter ended September 30 on account of increase in sales.

New Delhi: Dairy firm Kwality Ltd has reported 22 percent increase in its net profit at Rs 36.57 crore for the second quarter ended September 30 on account of increase in sales.

The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 29.98 crore in the year ago period.

Net sales during the July-September quarter rose to Rs 1296.87 crore as compared to Rs 1072.75 crore in the year ago period, the company said in a statement.

Speaking on the company?s results, Kwality Ltd Executive Director Sidhant Gupta said: "The fast growing economy, increasing income and changing lifestyle of consumers has opened up a new horizon in the dairy industry. We are satisfied with a growth in sales of 21 per cent in this quarter."

He added that newly appointed business transformation team will help Kwality position as the leader in the dairy industry.

The company has six milk processing units in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan. It also has pan-Indian distribution network.

It sells milk and other value added products including pure ghee, curd, skimmed milk powder, lassi and other dairy products under its umbrella brand ?Dairy Best?.
