Larsen & Toubro wins new orders worth Rs 1,507-cr

New Delhi: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said it has won orders worth Rs 1,507 crore across various business verticals.

The company said L&T-MMH has won a EPC order from Emirates Global Aluminium (EMA) for its greenfield alumina refinery development project in Al Taweelah, Abu Dhabi.

The scope involves engineering, procurement, fabrication, erection and associated works for tankages package.

"In the domestic arena, L&T-MMH won EPC orders from SAIL for the installation of a slab caster and suppressed combustion system along with replacement of basic oxygen furnace converter for modernisation of its steel melt shop at Bokaro," it said.

The company said these orders are clear signs of improved business prospects in the sector it operates.
L&T is an Indian multinational engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services with over USD 15 billion revenue.

The shares of the company were trading at Rs 1,730.60 a piece at 1512 hrs on BSE, up about 0.67 per cent from the previous close.
