Hyderabad: Onecard Techno Services India Pvt Ltd will formally roll out its 'one-nation-one card' aimed at integrating all cards in a single card in November and is eying a customer base of 10 lakh by year-end.

"We are collecting data of (prospective) customers. Registration and launch of our website to handle various queries will start in couple of days. Our target is to issue 10 lakh cards by the end of December this year," Onecard Techno Services Managing Director Ch V K S Kumar said.

Registration process for members will begin in a couple of days and the product will be officially rolled out in November after the concept-launch of 'One Card' in more metros, he said.

The concept-launch of the 'one card' was held last month in Hyderabad. Former Indian cricket captain Saurabh Ganguly is the brand ambassador for the product.

'One Card' is integration of numerous plastic cards into single plastic card and will relieve people from the burden of carrying multiple cards. Users will have to pay Rs 500 towards membership for two years and Rs 200 for renewal thereafter, Kumar said.

"One Card will have digitally embedded information and users can carry it as a key-access card that could be used at special access machines like ATMs and swiping machines," the MD said, adding President Pranab Mukherjee is expected to officially launch 'One Card'.

On data security aspect and apprehension that the card may be tampered with, Kumar said, "It is only after obtaining consent of users we will collect data. Our cards cannot be duplicated or copied and we have the edge over ATM cards".

"We are anticipating investments of around Rs 300 crore and see that 4 to 5 percent of the country's population will have 'One Card' in next two years. Already funds have been finalised from PEs...We have got some funds and rest (funds) will come by November.

We are building the infrastructure by setting up our own ATMs and swiping machines. To start with, we will have 100 ATMs and 1,000 swiping machines in the next three months which will be increased to 1,000 ATMs and 10,000 swiping machines in next one year," Kumar added.
